Cookie Manager Training will be conducted on Thursday, December 10th at McGuire Middle School in the Lecture Hall.

Two sessions will be held; one for returning cookie managers and a more indepth session for new cookie managers.

Returning Cookie Managers:  6:15 - 7:00 p.m.

New Cookie Managers:  7:15 - 8:30 p.m.

CHILDCARE WILL BE AVAILABLE

Childcare will be available at both meetings.  Please email Sherri Schaible, sschaib@charter.net to RSVP your need for childcare.  Please include ages of children.

The River Valleys 2010 Cookie VIP eTraining is now active for troop cookie managers to access.  

Use this link to request access to the training:  http://vipetraining.littlebrownie.com/Login.aspx or volunteers can find the link at www.littlebrowniebakers.com. 

Then take the following steps to complete the eTraining:

1.  First time visitors will request access and fill in their name, email, council name, troop ID and zip code. 

2.  An automatic email response will provide directions for selecting a password and entering the site.  Please make sure all troop cookie managers do indicate River Valleys as their council name. 

3.  Although troop cookie managers may choose to participate in all the lessons in the training, the following lessons must be completed by troop cookie managers:

• Program, module 1:  5 steps to Cookie Success and Inspired by U
• Marketing, module 2:  Order Card Essentials
• Technology, module 3:  eBudde and Cookie Club
• Cookies, module 4:  Girl Scout Cookies and New Cookie
• From the Council, module 5:  All lessons

4.  The final step for the troop cookie manager will be to complete the "Inspired by U Review & Quiz" found in the From the Council module.  At the end of the quiz will be a congratulatory message the troop cookie manager can print for proof of completion of the VIP eTraining.

The 2010 Cookie Program Activity has a volunteer Region Cupboard Manager positon open in the Lakeville/Apple Valley/Rosemount area.

The purpose of a Region Cookie Cupboard is to ensure that cookies are readily available in key geographic areas of the council jurisdiction.  The cupboard manager must have a current email address, daily access to the internet, and be comfortable using online data entry systems.  While onsite storage for approximately 500 to 700 cases of cookies is ideal, alternate storage options can be discussed with the volunteer.  Qualities necessary of the volunteer in this position are:  detailed, computer comfort, have the ability to create forts out of cookies cases, etc.  The ideal person for this position is someone that wants to support the 2010 Cookie Program Activity, but may not have the time commitment necessary to serve as the service unit/troop cookie manager, and enjoys working with adult volunteers.  The time frame for the position is mid-February through mid-April.
